Mahbub is born and brought up nearby of Brahmaputra River in a small village named Beara located in Trishal, Mymensingh. He studied his primary, secondary and higher secondary education at different institutes in Mymensingh. He completed both undergraduate and Master’s from the Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Department of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, SUST, Sylhet-3114. After completing of MS, he joined the country’s first Biopharmaceutical R&D inaugurated by Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd as R&D Officer in February 2013. As an industrial biotechnologist, Mr Hasan worked in different departments of R&D to produce cost-effective Biosimilars (i.e.Insulin Glargine) in Bangladesh. He acquires expertise in the mass spectrometry-based characterization of biotherapeutics and computational biology-based structure-function characterization of proteins (especially plant aquaporins). Throughout his career, Mr Hasan received several hands-on training on liquid chromatography, bulk production of biotherapeutics and mass spectrometry from the world’s technology leaders i.e. AB Sciex, GE Healthcare etc. Mr Hasan joined to the Department of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, at the University of Chittagong as a Faculty Member in 2015.
