Tofael Hossain is a Research Assistant (RA) in the DBME-NRICh-3D Lab at the University of Chittagong. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology at the same university.

His research focuses on the FTO and PPARG genes in the context of obesity, with the goal of contributing to the development of personalized medicine.

Tofael has prior experience in whole genome sequencing, metagenome sequencing, and RNA sequencing (RNA-Seq). He possesses expertise in both computational and molecular biology techniques. He is highly interested in the development of biotech products and biotechnological drugs that aim to improve and simplify existing therapeutic options.
